Microsoft Scrapbook – Where you’ve been

Microsoft Scrapbook – Where you’ve been

The Microsoft Scrapbook service launched very quietly at around the same time as Mango. I tried this a few weeks back but it didn’t show any of my checkin’s.

Today however is a different story, with all my past check-ins appearing in the service. It’s pretty simple with pinned location on a Bing map but it’s most probably the begining of a more detailed service. Perhaps a mobile app and locaiton photos will be included?

Every checkin is listed and can be flicked through witht he navigation pane. You also have the option to DELETE YOUR CHECKIN HISTORY! This is significant, as the scrapbook page itself states, no other service allows you to delete your checkin history. If you delete your history, it’s gone forever and cannot be restored or used by Microsoft.

If you have a Windows Phone 7.5 phone then you can log in and use this service yourself. Perfect if you travel a lot or have a forgetful mind and want to know where you were yesterday, last week or last month. (My checkins go back to July 2011!)

Scrapbook.
